If you don’t know who your audience is, it will be hard to know what to post and what types of posts to look for. You want to be as specific and niched as possible so that your posts are relevant to the type of audience you’re trying to attract. If you want to build a page for cars, you can choose to place any cars out there. However if you have a specific target audience such as lamborghini lovers, then you can focus on posting the best Lamborghini pictures out there to attract that kind of crowd. Know what type of audience you want to attract and what type of posts they will like and you’ll know what type of posts to post.

  1. Find Influencers in Your Niche

Find Influencers in your niche and see what type of posts they are posting and where they are getting their pictures from. Follow them so they show up in your newsfeed and you can take screenshot those photos or find inspiration on what to post. Usually, the posts, if they are not original pictures, credit the pictures to the source so you can go to the picture source and screenshot and crop those pictures. When you screenshot a picture you want to go to the source from where that picture came from because the more you screenshot a picture, the lesser the quality of the picture. Also this can give you ideas on what types of posts to post.

  1. Get High Quality Photos

Once you know what type of photos you’re looking for, you need to find quality pictures that haven’t been recycled over and over on Instagram. You will want to look to other image sources to find quality pictures that might not have been posted yet on Instagram. Some personal favorites of where to find pictures are tumblr.comflickr.compixabay.com, and 500px.com. Also you can download the app versions of these websites so you can save and post from your phone.

  1. Post Engaging Captions

The caption is just as important as the picture. A great picture without an engaging caption can be boring or dry, making a waste of a great picture. You can ask questions in your captions such as asking your followers what they think of the post, to tag a friend, to double-tap (like), or various other methods to get your followers to engage. Don’t be one of those people who just post numerous hashtags in the captions and nothing else. If anything, I recommend putting the hashtags at the way end of the caption or even in the comments section so that they are hidden.

  1. Enjoy what You Post

The key to staying consistent to posting good, quality content is actually liking the posts you are posting. Make sure that the content you are putting out is something that you yourself would like if you saw it come up on your personal newsfeed. Put in the extra time and effort to find quality pictures and to come up with captivating captions to make your followers engage with you. Also don’t forget to reply back and engage with your follower’s comments to develop a sort of relationship and establish a personal connection with them. Loyal followers are the most important thing for your Instagram page’s success as well as for your business. And the more you enjoy what you’re posting about, the less it will seem like work and the better your feed will look.
